I had a lot of independence at my internship. I was in charge of mailing packages to customers and occasionally assisting other employees with basic IT problems. Once I completed a week and a half of training, I was on my own. It really gave me a taste of independence and having a full time job outside of college.
What I wish was different
Because of my independence and the nature of my work, I didn’t spend a lot of time with my coworkers. I wish that I had grown stronger bonds with those around me.
Advice
Go out of your comfort zone! I didn’t think I would be qualified for this job, but I ended up loving it and I learned a lot. I was definitely qualified, and I did my job really well. Apply for everything, even if you think you won’t get it.
